Brussels Fashion and Designers Sales

April 27, 28 & 29 at MAD Brussels

Anyone who loves Brussels fashion is welcome at MAD Brussels in April to discover a piece of clothing, an accessory or a designer piece by a Brussels designer. More than 50 local designers and brands participate in the spring edition of the Brussels Fashion & Designers Sales at and around MAD Brussels.

Young talent

In addition to established designers such as Valérie Berckmans, Conni Kaminski and Jessie Lecomte, a lot of young Brussels talent can once again be discovered during the Sales. Cleo Chrome wants to use her jewelery as empowering tools and embrace queer identities. In addition, 3WV offers unique and gender-neutral clothing, made from recycled fabrics. With the label Kasbah Kosmic, the Brussels Kenza Taleb Vandeput brings a mix of sustainable Belgian-Algerian influences. Finally for vintage clothing you can go to Pose Studio or to I-wearvintage for vintage glasses. In addition to the sales at MAD Brussels, brands also participate from their own workshop or point of sale spread across the capital.

Conscious buying

This spring edition of the Brussels Fashion and Designers Sales is all about Fashion Revolution Week. The true cost of clothing and its production is still not recognized today which is why the social costs and environmental impact are not reflected in the price tags. Fashion Revolution Belgium wants to inform and inspire the consumer during that week about the true value of clothing. To pay attention to transparent, fair and local production, you can find the #whomademyclothes installation and photobooth in the showcase of MAD Brussels during the Sales.

In this context, MAD Brussels also organizes several workshops during the Sales with Juliet Bonhomme, founder of The UpCyclingLab. As an ambassador for sustainable fashion, Juliet shares her upcycling projects and slow fashion tips on her Instagram account. In addition, with The UpCyclingLab she offers various services about recycling textiles, such as workshops, consultancy and awareness raising. During the Brussels Fashion and Designers Sales, Juliet Bonhomme will lead several sewing workshops. Participants can learn how to turn unsold fabric stocks into a sleeveless vest.

With the Brussels Fashion & Designers Sales, MAD Brussels, centre for fashion and design, highlights the Brussels fashion and design sector by supporting designers to sell their remaining stock. In collaboration with Knack Weekend and Le Vif Weekend, MAD reunites established Brussels fashion & design brands with young, emerging designers during the sales.
