Creative women taking over MAD Brussels

In the coming weeks, MAD Brussels, the centre for fashion and design, welcomes many top names from the creative industry. The programme kicks off with a new concept. During a Creative Lunch you can sit down in the MAD café and meet inspiring people. The MAD Business programme also welcomes inspiring speakers who help young entrepreneurs in fashion and design to boost their business in terms of inclusion and commercial performance.

Creative Lunch

By the name Creative Lunch, MAD Brussels starts a new monthly concept. Every month a creative person is invited to inspire and enthuse during a joint lunch.

Els Van Hoorebeeck will be the first to take the stage. This Belgian designer works as Head of design for the Danish leading design and furniture company &Tradition. On Friday February 18, during lunch, she will give a lecture on her professional career, the DNA of the &Tradition brand and the manner in which she works with designers.

Marianne Goebl is Managing Director of the Finnish design company Artek. She will be our guest at our second Creative Lunch on Tuesday March 1st. With more than ten years of experience in the design sector, including a career at Vitra and Design Miami, Marianne Goebl has developed numerous projects at the interface between art and design. During the lunch, she will elaborate on the history of the Finnish furniture company Artek, the day-to-day operations of the company and her experience in the design industry.

How to drive your communication in a super diverse society

With 166 different nationalities, Brussels is a multicultural place. However, this does not mean there is much diversity in the creative industry. Hanan Challouki is a strategic consultant and has made inclusive communication her expertise. Driven by a mission to create a more inclusive world, she founded Inclusified and created her own vision on marketing and communication in a super-diverse society. On Tuesday March 8, not coincidentally International Women's Day, Hanan Challouki will share her vision on diversity in a marketing and communication strategy during her lecture How to drive your communication in a super diverse society.
